Walkthrough

We start with a walkthrough of the space and a conversation about what you are trying to accomplish. This is where we look at the existing conditions, talk through ideas, and give honest feedback about what may or may not make sense.

Planning & Scope

Before work begins, we define the scope as clearly as possible. This helps avoid confusion, missed details, and unnecessary surprises once the project is underway.

For larger projects, this stage may include coordination around design, materials, schedule, permitting, and project phasing.

Build

During the build, we focus on clean execution, organized job sites, and steady communication. Good work is not just about the finished product — it is also about how the project is managed along the way.

Finish

The final details matter. Trim, fit, alignment, hardware, paint transitions, cleanup, and small adjustments all contribute to how the finished project feels.

We do not consider a project complete until the details are handled properly.

Sawdust Building Company is a small, local building company serving homeowners across the South Shore of Massachusetts.

We focus on additions, renovations, built-ins, decks, and exterior work for homeowners who value craftsmanship and clear communication. Our goal is not to take on every job. Our goal is to take on the right projects and do them well.

We believe good building starts before construction begins — with thoughtful planning, honest conversations, and a clear understanding of what the homeowner wants to accomplish.
